Check your work before you send anything. Then you can’t go wrong.
1- Did you spend a few minutes first thinking about your Avatar and his/her problems?

 

2- Do you have “The 12 Major Elements of Successful Copy” Open?

 

3- Did you follow the “12 Rules For Good Email Writing”?

 

4- Is your email actually valuable?… Does it meet one or more of the ‘PIE’ Value Formula?

 

A. P (Paradigm) – Creates a Paradigm or Belief Shift

 

B. I (Inspires) – It Inspires The Reader.
C. E (Educates) – It Educates the Reader.

 

5- Does the subject line draw you in with curiosity, benefit, shock? (must have 2 of these)
6- Does the opening sentence hook your reader?
7- Are you telling a story?
8- Are you writing to a FRIEND?
9- Are you being your real, authentic self?
10- Are you writing FROM one person, TO one person?
11- Are you making an emotional connection?
12- Do you have a strong call-to-action with the following elements:
 Persuade me why I must click the link. Sell me on the benefits of your opportunity. A simple way to do this is with 3 strong bullet points.
b- You need very strong copy on the clickable link. Don’t try and be clever or cool like “See How You Could Be The Wizard of Your Financial Future”. (Because I Don’t Know What You Are Promising Me) You Must Have a Big, Bold Promise Use the examples on here.
If you are new to emailing and ‘building’ that relationship, then every 3rd email should have NO link. Just an “email me back” call to action (engagement email). When you have a 3,000+ list and your are confident that you have a strong relationship with your list, then you can reduce this frequency.
 
13- Did you read the email out loud to smooth out the language?
 
14- Is the copy written in active voice? (“Present” Tense, not “Past” Tense).
15- Did you use any action, thoughts, feelings, dialogue? If not, can you add one (or more) of these elements in?
16- Is your email 400 words or less?
A. 250-350 is the ‘sweet spot’ for most emails.
