22 rules for creating posts on social media! and 12 Tips for effective tweeting on Twitter..
Learn how to get it right first time!
It seems to me that every one wants results and by results, I mean they want to be seen and appreciated. The latter is especially important when you are trying to build a presence online for yourself or your business. So, in this article, I will share a few tips that will go a long way to get you seen online. There are the 7 rules of creating posts on the social media
1. Create posts that show results
Experience shows that sharing the results you have achieved for yourself or your clients/customers always makes a good impression on people. This is especially true for SMBs (Small to Medium-Sized Businesses). Some examples of this type of content include your clients’ testimonials, screenshots of your reviews, stats of your reach on different social media.
So, next time a client wants to give their testimonial or write a review for your service/product, ask them if you can use their words to inspire others to use the same product or service in the future.
2. Create carousels that inform
Well-designed carousels which are rich in content and contain important tips always get better impression from the social media folks. When you create a carousel that informs and on the same post link to a more complete version of that guide, people will surely be more interested in clicking.
In the world of carousels, yet again, you want to know who your audience is and then start creating for that specific group of people
3. Create shorter content for better performance
Scrollers love content that teaches in just a few small sentences. Get your sentences to be less than 5, 6 words. Be as to-the-point as you can. Readers appreciate this kind of content. The shorter your content, the better it will perform.
4. Engage with others and they will engage with you
It has been proven by me and many creators out there that the more you engage in other people’s posts, the more you will get feedback for your own. People, in an uncertain world, are looking for genuine connections. This will be achieved by your building trust.
The important point here is: NEVER engage just for the sake of being engaged with. That will just make things worse in terms of trust-building.
5. Create original content or AI can easily replace you
Content today can easily be created with the use of AI. AI writes convincing pieces of paragraphs that make the most sense, basically because it’s pieces brought together from us humans. So, if your content doesn’t add to that amount, you’d better stop posting. It’s already there and you won’t get a chance to compete with AI. Creating posts on the social media that include something from your own heart and mind will also make you increasingly confident in yourself. Read more here.
6. Don’t follow people to get follow-backs
Connecting with people who don’t engage can be a negative point for your social activity. Mass-following in itself is a negative thing; this will make it worse. Follow and connect with people who you know care about your content. Steal other content creators’ followers by offering something better, or more. Do a digital traveling and see how people are reacting to each other. Get a sense of the market and then go in.
7. Connect with other creators
When you connect with other creators you see and learn most of the time. None of us are perfect creators. If you don’t accept this. your pride will be your first enemy. Connecting with other like-minded people is good even in the offline world. So, why not take it to the next level and build your connections the way you are supposed to. Creating engaging and effective posts on Facebook requires a thoughtful approach. Here are some tips to help you create compelling Facebook posts:
8. Know Your Audience:
Understand your target audience’s interests, preferences, and behaviors. Tailor your content to resonate with them.
9. Use Visuals:
Include eye-catching visuals, such as high-quality images, infographics, or videos. Visual content tends to grab more attention in the Facebook feed.
10. Craft Compelling Headlines:
Create attention-grabbing headlines that spark curiosity and encourage users to click and learn more. Keep them concise and compelling.
11. Keep It Concise:
Facebook users often scroll quickly, so keep your posts concise. Aim to convey your message succinctly and use short paragraphs.
12. Include a Call-to-Action (CTA):
Clearly state what you want your audience to do. Whether it’s liking the post, sharing it, visiting a website, or making a purchase, include a CTA.
13. Ask Questions:
Encourage engagement by asking questions. People are more likely to comment and share their thoughts when prompted.
14. Share Valuable Content:
Provide content that adds value to your audience’s lives. This could include informative articles, helpful tips, or entertaining content relevant to your niche.
15. Be Authentic:
Showcase the human side of your brand. Share behind-the-scenes glimpses, employee stories, or user-generated content to build authenticity.
16. Use Hashtags Wisely:
Incorporate relevant hashtags to increase discoverability. However, avoid overloading your posts with hashtags; keep it focused and strategic.
17. Experiment with Posting Times:
Test different posting times to see when your audience is most active. Facebook Insights can help you identify peak engagement periods.
18. Respond to Comments:
Actively engage with your audience by responding to comments. This helps build a community and shows that you value their input.
19. Create Shareable Content:
Craft content that users are likely to share with their friends. This extends your reach and exposes your brand to a broader audience.
20. Utilize Facebook Live:
Take advantage of live video to connect with your audience in real-time. Live videos often receive higher engagement compared to regular posts.
21. Highlight Milestones and Achievements:
Celebrate achievements, anniversaries, or milestones related to your brand. This fosters a sense of community and accomplishment.
22. Monitor Analytics:
Regularly check Facebook Insights to analyze the performance of your posts. Use this data to refine your content strategy based on what works best.
Remember, consistency is key. Develop a posting schedule that aligns with your audience’s habits, and continually refine your approach based on the performance of your posts.
