I Learned From a Stranger on the Train
Sometimes, the most valuable lessons come from complete strangers. On a recent train ride, a simple conversation with someone I had never met taught me a lesson I won’t forget: how perspective and kindness can change the way we approach our own challenges.

1. Listen More Than You Speak
My train companion shared their own story of overcoming setbacks. By truly listening, I realized that I often underestimate the power of simply hearing someone out — and that every person carries a story that can inspire.
2. Small Gestures Matter
A kind word, a smile, or offering help can make a huge difference. That day, a small gesture from a stranger reminded me that generosity doesn’t need a reason — it only needs action.
3. Perspective Changes Everything
Hearing about someone else’s challenges reframed my own. It taught me that what feels overwhelming to me might be manageable with a shift in perspective and attitude.
4. Carry Lessons Forward
